I don't know about the World T20. South African grounds are pretty small ,so the average attendance maybe was 10000 over twenty something? matches? However, I know the IPL. The IPL was attended by 3,440,000 spectators, at an average of 58000 per match, making it the second most attended sports tournament (on average), behind American football.
