1st Aug- Nipples started to get sensitive

5th Aug- Period suppose to start today.

8th Aug- Started to get cramps every now and then

10th Aug- Breast tenderness started, nipples continued to be sensitive. Hard all day and itchy still.

12th Aug- The sides (near armpits) and the tops of the b*****s really started to hurt, just the slightest touch hurt.

13th Aug- At one stage during the day i suddenly felt abit dizzy and slightly nauseated.

15th Aug- Started bleeding. About 3 days, wasnt as heavy or long but mostly came out when i went toilet or drops on pad but only changed a few times a day.

19th Aug- Went to the doctor and took a hpt and it was a faint positive!

I am going back on the 25th to do a blood test.

She thinks i may have had an early miscarriage because i was bleeding but i didnt see any clots or have pain.

My b*****s aren't as sore as before still a little.

Did anyone bleed in early pregnancy and not have a miscarriage?

  1. I bled with both my first and second pregnancies. They are now 7 and 5. I started bleeding( spotting)with my daughter at 6 1/2 weeks, again at 9 weeks then I was fine after that. I was put on bed rest for 8 weeks. With my son I bled a huge amount and they thought for sure I had miscarried, I was dilated 2cm with pains coming regular. The next day I went for an ultrasound and there he was waving his little hands at me at 11 weeks. I was on bed rest for 1 month, constant bleeding and slowly turning brown by the end of the month. Now with my third I have not had any bleeding and I am 19 weeks.

I know it's hard but try not to worry, there really isn't much you can do besides take it easy and drink lots of water. That's all I was able to do. Good Luck! =)

  2. Hi!

I've had two experiences with early pregnancy bleeding...

    1st experience:

Started spotting lightly around 6 weeks pregnant.  Bled lightly on and off for the week.  The following week the bleeding became heavier, but only changed pads 1-2 times a day, no tissue.  Turns out I miscarried sometime near the end of the first week/start of the second.  :(

    2nd experience:

Had slight (brown) spotting one morning at about 8 weeks pregnant.  No more blood after that.  I am now 19 weeks pregnant!

So, spotting CAN be safe/normal, but it can also mean miscarriage.  Try to stay positive for now (it sounds like you haven't had too much bleeding, so I'm fairly positive), and wait for the blood work.

    I'll be praying for you!

  3. I bled for 4 days for 4 months. The flow was normal and the days were the same that my period usually lasts. I had period cramps and small clots. I also had pregnancy symptoms but I kept testing 7 times total during those 4 months and they were all negative but I knew I was pregnant. Then my doctor told me I was 4 months pregnant.

  4. Sounds like you had implantation bleeding, and it is pefectly normal. :]

  5. Hi. I had slight bleeding early on. It only lasted a few hours but of course, was enough to freak me out. I went to the doc and it turns out everything was fine. The doc said slight bleeding is okay and common. But heavy bleeding ( have to change a pad more than an hour ), have blood clots or have bad cramping does indicate a problem.

Good luck, sounds like you're okay!

  6. Yup definately pregnant I think with the faint positive and if you bled but you did not cramp and did not pass any clots then I think you just had bleeding. I dont know for sure. But my friend had this and was still pregnant bled for around 3 days just spots of blood nothing like a period! Good Luck!

  7. i bled a little in the beginning. and did an ultrasound, the baby was so tinny that the doc told me it might be an empty sack. but turns out he's fine and i'm 35 weeks now

  8. I haven't experienced bleeding during either of my pregnancies (one I missed miscarried and I am now 19 weeks with a healthy baby). But I have heard of women bleeded during pregnancy, particularly in the first trimester. If it was light without clots, I would wait it out a few days and take another pregnancy test. Things like subchorionic hemorrhages are not uncommon and cause bleeding during pregnancy, It is also not uncommon for women to experience breakthrough bleeding. Anyway, the only thing you can do is wait a few days and test again. Good luck.
