The maximum amount used to be 250, however, the amount was raised to 300 as stated in the Y!360 team blog in 2006:

I really tried to find the exact number for you on the web, Just kept getting everything else.

I put in the search ---how many people can actually be added to the 360 list,

Couldn't get an answer that was fitting to the question, sorry, I tried!

I know there are many people that can be added, but exact number I couldn't seem to get you that number
