How many people can be seated in the House of Representatives chamber?

The US constitution (article 1, section 2) states that there should be one Representative for every 30,000 citizens. So how many Representatives can actually (comfortably) fit into the house chamber in the Capitol building? Could I please have a serious, preferably numerical answer?

Thank you,

  1. I believe there are 435 members in the House now. As to whether that's the most it can hold, or whether demographics may sometime change that number, I don't know.
