  4. It doesn't help that they often state the number of people 'killed or seriously injured' on the roads.  To avoid it being higher, we need more draconian punishments for drink-drivers, who cause an enormous amount of shattered lives by their selfish actions, likewise mobile-phone users.

    the stats for 2006 are shown but none after that .(interesting site tho.)

  7. In 2005 There were 3,872 Road deaths in the uk (including padestrains)  this is 74.4 deaths a week. The department or transport are yet to relase, to the public the number of deaths for years 2006 and 2007

  8. A few years out of date but 3,508 people were killed on Britain’s roads in 2003 which is 68 a week
