  1. Alcohol, suicide or trying to hop from one balcony to the other are the three most common causes.

  2. You have seen way too many movies.  You are far more likely to get in a car wreck than fall off a ship.

  3. In 2008 there were 5 people who fell /jumped overboard from a cruise ship. Here's a link to all the details http://www.cruisejunkie.com/Overboard.ht...

  4. Very few. the average is one. You cannot fall in from a cruise ship because they all have rails that are 4 ft or taller. From you balcony room they are made of a very strong see thru plastic. To "fall in" you must climb up first, you can't just fall in, so unless you are stupid drunk, you will not fall in. No one in their right mind will climb up and over, so cruise ships are not scary at all. Much safer then any other form of transportation.

  5. This year was 5. but they are mmostly related to Alcohol, drugs, ect.

Personally, I don't see how you can just 'fall out' of the boat. The railing are hard & have see-threw plastic on them. and on your balnoncy is the same thing. You would have to climb over it to jump:D

    nothing like the titanic. lol

  6. At least 1 person a year, likely they were drunk when they fell off or they were pushed by someone. Kinda scary huh?
