Also, how far is it one way? And, is it by choice (there are other means of transportation but choose to ride a bike) or necessity (no other means of transportation)? Thanks in advance!

  1. one... I'm not sure how far.

and its because he wouldn't have any other transportation.

  2. i do but i live 5 blocks from work and i use it 2 do stuff like get lunch,go to the post office  it is the best, cheapest way.

  3. I bike to work and several other people in the office do. My commute is over 20 miles, I ride part and take light rail the rest of the way.

There are bike lanes throughout but I still take side streets, parallel streets, I ride a different route than I would drive because the traffic is even less. Let the cars have the busy streets I'm on a quiet street a block away.

By the time I get to downtown it's like a parade of bikes, lots of people riding and always have!!

PS: middle class living above my means, not rich or poor. I work for a Fortune 50 company and have a union job.

  4. I own a bike but hardly use it. I would probably cycle more if all the cars were banned from parking in the cycle lanes. They make it too hard to go anywhere. lol :-)

  5. I know one...they live about 10 miles...the ride by choice because gas is so high...and they have a good paying job too. They dont ride the whole 10 miles though...only about 2 and take the bus all the other distance...

  6. I don't know anyone who walks, rides a bike, or uses public transportation to get to and from work.

  7. I know A LOT of people who strictly ride a bike everywhere they go (including myself!) but i still drive. I am in Boulder, Co. so it is very common to see a lot of people go on bikes no matter what distance. I think it is by choice, and i believe its a good choice...
