How many people do you think will enter the WSOP main event this year?

I think we're going to see an increase over 2007, but not a full return.  A lot of people still think online poker is illegal, and it was the online card rooms that really fueled the boom.  6,358 players entered in 2007, 8,773 in 2006.  With the economy slowing down I think some of the hobby players who do win seats will take the cash option instead of buying a seat.  I'm going to guess 7,000.

I think there will be less people than last year.  I played in the Ladies WSOP event this year and there were less women that compared to last year playing.
