How many people gather at auckland city central each day?

im not sure how to find this answer, but for you new zealanders, how many people do u think or know gather at auckland city each day for shopping and what not.. queen st etc

Auckland is a city of 1.2 million people. Of this, about 250k - 300k enter the central city each day. This is for a number of reason - work, shopping, tourist activity etc. Parking is at a premium during working hours, but after 6pm, there are generally discounted rates. It is far quieter in the weekend.
