  1. I would but the last time I walked in, they had to call the fire department cause the curtains voluntarily combusted as I walked by

  2. 187,698

  3. The church I attend is great yet the service is often ... ... a bit boring for me. I'm used to and like lively worship. So yes, most of the time I go because I want to meet others, have some coffee afterwards, have lunch with them afterwards etc. I see nothing wrong with it either. I think that one really big purpose of church is fellowship, good fellowship. Yet of course I also believe and often the sermon gives me interesting ideas. I don't think I would go - long term - if I didn't believe in God.

  4. NO, I go to hear the word of God & to learn more about him & how he wants me to live my life as a Christian :>)

  5. Personally, I don't go to church for socializing.  I go to church to be in the atmosphere of God.  I do pray and read my bible at home everyday, but sometimes I just need to be in the presence of God.  That's why I go to church and it also helps strengthen my relationship with God.

  6. Only God knows the answer to that question. But He surely knows.

  7. I think that people who go to church for socializing are likely to find what they are looking for--take it any way you like.

For a person of faith, if it's the only reason you go, it's still a good one.  God wants us to have fellowship with other believers.  He desires our worship and praise, and most of us know this is not limited to a building anyway.

For a person not of faith, I would think it would be like being in a foreign nation where no one spoke your language.  Interesting to watch, but bad if you need directions.

  8. Where my brother goes to church most just go there for the free food

  9. Sure some do, nothing wrong with that.

  10. Sure, so I could soak up all the brain-washing on offer.

We could talk about 'The End', etc.

What a joyful day that would be compared to 'the local'.

  11. It's not a good place for girls, I'd rather stay single then try to get a relationship with someone who's plutonic and likes god more than me.
