ive read sooo many questions on "help my dog/ pup crys all night"

i kinda feel bad for yall but i didnt have this problem, my baby doesnt make a sound, from the day she came, she only made a few whining noises, wen she saw sumone from her crate. but it stoped.

just saying, and to all of those hu are getting new pups, dont pay too much attention to them wen they first enter your house!! put them in their cage or crate for an hour so they know thats their room and so they wont winee so much :D. thats what i did.

  1. My puppy never whines!! I suppose it's because he sleeps with his mommy. He is a quiet little guy. My bf named him Pokie..

  2. ours did for a few days but has not much after that at first we got up every three hours to let her out now she sleeps through the night

I did have a problem when I brought her to work and tried to put her in a crate during the busy times or when I left her in a crate at my moms house while we ate but when she was at home she was fine

  3. No I never had that problem except he does whine when I leave the house.

  4. I had one that did it very little.  I think he was glad for the peace and quiet - he came from a rowdy litter of 12.  With attention from us and our older dog, he settled down into a routine pretty fast.  Also, I think it was his personality - he's a pretty laid back dog. I think it has more to do with the personality of the dog than anything else.

  5. I agree with you, when they are puppies you keep the crate next to the bed with a night light on, and the puppy can see you and be reassured.  My puppy is now potty trained, and sleeps where ever she wants to, but the first few months you have to give them extra care.

  6. Mine cried for the first few nights but not nearly as bad as other peoples did.

  7. I'm afraid I never had the crying and whining problem at all. The only time my pup cried was when she was left alone while I went out for a bit.  At night I would put her in bed with me, she'd curl up and go to sleep then once during the night she'd get up to pee, she'd wake me up I'd take her outside she'd do her thing and then she'd go right back to sleep until 7 am when I woke up and took her outside.  I'd say I had a really easy time with my puppy.

Most people make the mistake of putting the puppy in a crate (when they've never been in one before or become accustomed to one - mistake 1) then they leave the puppy and crate in the kitchen or downstairs (mistake 2) they don't understand that first of all this being taken away from the company of their mother and littermates is scary to an 8 week old puppy, they also don't know who these strange people are, what are these strange smells and they are scared and because they are alone suddenly feel abandoned so they cry out for their mother to come and save them and make them feel safe and secure.  People assume that this is normal and they leave the puppy to cry for 2 hours and then go nuts when it doesn't stop and they can't sleep.

If they understood this then they would put the puppy beside their bed or in their bed so it can be warm, safe and secure, it will be with it's human pack.  At best put the crate beside the bed so that the puppy has company and feels better.  they would find it would solve all the crying and whining problems.

  8. When I brought my Chihuahua home, he slept in his crate for the first few months. Never whined. Only time he did was when he really had to use the bathroom. He now sleeps in bed with us (since he has gotten a little bigger).

I am super lucky to have a puppy that didn't whine.

  9. That's true ive never had much of a problem with my pups maybe the first night but that's it as long as people stick to there guns an dont give into there puppy eyes an crys they soon get over it.
