  1. The best thing you can do is find a doctor or counselor to talk to. My husband didn't understand me either when I was suffering through it. But the good news is that it gets easier, and it doesn't mean that you are a bad person. So make sure that there is someone to help you out and someone to talk to.

  2. Many men don't understand because they aren't going through it.  To them they think, you just had the baby you wanted why aren't you happy and they just can't get past that.  They think it is all about you making yourself that way and don't listen that it is a chemical thing that can and usually does require medication and major therapy to get past. In my family a few woman experienced it and none of their spouses or boyfriends understood.  My mom just had really bad baby blues not actual PPD and that was bad enough and my dad wasn't very helpful.

  3. i did my boyfriend kept telling me i was a cry baby so i after a while i gto fed up with his atittude and left him..

  4. Borrow a book on the subject from the library or get him to go online

  5. mine tries, but i don't think he gets it fully; i had a prob with depression in the past as well, so he knew it could be a prob....like i said he tries, i guess that is all i can ask

i don't think someone who has not actually had a true depression can understand....like a lot of things, u have to live it to understand it...
