How many people have stopped and helped stranded motorists?

I have helped about 5 ,most was to get them gas

Helped a couple of guys the other day when their pickup went around a corner and the heavy load of hardwood flooring tiles didn't!  What a mess!

I've helped a couple people who needed gas.  Helped someone change a tire once.  Helped a couple with a badly overheating car once.  I usually stop for cars on the side of the interstate if there isn't anyone else helping them and they are still there.  Thats about it.

I have in the past, but THESE days, you never know when someone is going to pull a gun on ya.

I stopped on the 405 fwy to offer my assistance to a nervous looking lady, and she ran and jumped into her car and rolled up the windows. (Guess I look like a axe murderer or something)

She did the smart thing, I guess. I read about ONE lady whose car broke down. She disappeared and her body was found a few years later in some guy's freezer.
