and say "But this year I am voting for . . . . ." But were NEVER of that party.

Myself, I am of neither of the two major parties but I was a Republican a long time ago.

  1. Not this woman.  I am what I am, and I  always will be honest.  It is what I stand for.  Only sneaky and underhanded people would use these types of tactics to try to get ahead.

    Honesty and hard work is what my beliefs are.  I am moderately conservative and I am a registered Republican.

  2. I have always been a Republican. I am Conservative. I vote my conscience.

  3. A few.

    I find such behavior contemptible.  So should everyone.

    Read their posts, but don't be confused.  Hiding their answers/questions has many reasons.

    I'm a democrat who often speaks up against political bigotry.  I'm even supporting McCain/Palin.

    I make no bones about it.  I don't like the socialist slide my party has taken.  My family fled Islam before I was born and we've been expecting this war for decades.

    When President Clinton was President, I fought political bigotry (name-calling, slander, libel, sedition, "guilty until proved innocent").

    When President Bush is being attacked the same way, I speak up against.

    For that, I'm called: "A Republican, a Neo-Con, a Fascist".

    Because of ethics?  Because I don't hate half the country?

    Easy way to tell someone isn't who they say they are?  They use political bigotry.  They hate half the country.  They call names, they spread unfounded rumors, etc., and they do so in foolish silly ways.

    I never left my party, though I could easily have said, "My party left me".

    I still support free speech (including for Republican talk radio);

    I still support free expression (including for Fundamentalist Christians);

    I still support equality (including for white men).

    I'm none of the above, save part white.

    If that means that I am no longer Democrat, than people are free to think so, but those are the fights that made my party special, and we WON those fights.  They are now household values.

    What is sad to me is that some of my party has forgotten that, and some people have come to believe that the "ends justifies the means".

    I find that contemptible, and will continue to speak up when people would silence me (like Lieberman has).

    So should Republicans who speak up against their own party (such as McCain has).

    Keep speakinf up, everyone.

  4. Not sure, I have never voted a straight party ticket. I have voted for politicians from all parties. Whoever I thought would do the best job. h**l, I even voted for Obama for US Senator. This election I will be voting for McCain and Palin. I have a problem with my Senator not doing the job I elected him to do, and then talking about changing Washington.

  5. I suspect there is a lot of "posing" going on.  Most suspect are the ones who say something like "I was a McCain supporter, but since he nominated Palin, I'm going to vote for Obama"  Right.

  6. I vote straight ticket GOP.  I have no choice...I have morals and family values.....

  7. I claim that jimmy carter  nothing except a feeble old f**t

  8. Well, you can vote for any candidate, party affiliation means nothing.  I have been registered both Democrat and Republican and cross over all the time..

    edit: Oops, sorry about that I misread the question..

    I'm sure there are a lot claiming to be in both parties..
