  1. I'd say approximately 6-12 people depending on how much you love sponge cake ;) It should be about the size of a smallish one you could buy at the store. There isn't a lot of flour but sponge cake gets most of it's volume from the eggs.

  2. 4-8 portions

  3. 6 or 8 inches round pan.

    for 6-8 people.

its base is egg whites so the cake would be quite big already with 6 eggs.

    Good luck!

  4. with one cup of flour not much!

  5. If you follow this recipe and bake it on a 10 x 15 x 1 jellyroll pan, do you plan on spreading a filling on it and rolling it up? If so, it would be a 10-inch log and would serve 6 to 8 people.

If you don't roll it up, it would be 10 x 15 x 1, maybe smaller after trimming off any crusty bits.

  6. I make this all the time.  You would be rolling this up after filling it, like a log.  Cut off each end at angle and frost.

You get about 6 slices.  You can fill with a variety of jams, or puddings and then frost with regular frosting.  Use fork to make like 'bark' marks, lengthwise, swirling the ends so it really looks like a little log. I also have a recipe for a pumpkin mousse type filling.   My favorite, though, and what I grew up on, is rasberry jam, chocolate frosting.  This is also referred to as a 'Yule Log'.
