How many people of faith do you think might cling to the idea of a perfect being simply because they've been taught that man is so hopelessly flawed?I was just reading through responses to an earlier question I posted and this thought occurred to me. People of judeo-christian faiths are taught that man is inherently sinful and flawed and that their only salvation lies in their faith in an allegedly perfect entity. Could this innate feeling of inadequacy cause some to cling so desperately to something they view as flawless?
