Me. It is out of choice. I got sick of sitting around, getting drunk, and smoking pot. I could meet new friends that aren't drunk potheads, but as a dominant introverted thinker, it is too difficult, so this community and a few other websites as well as my family are my life.

You need to define a "social life". Most people I know ( me included) have maybe one outing a week with someone else (maybe with a group), one outing with a family member and keep in touch with friends and family by phone/email/text message. Everyone I know is moaning about how on weekends they are too tired from working a 50 plus hour week to do any socialising. It would make a very interesting formal study - what IS a social life and who has one. There are probably different levels of social activity, and its going to be very different across age groups too I bet. Interesting question.

It depends on what you call "social life." We all interact with others on a daily basis. That is social.

I don't but I prefer it that way.  I hate having to go out when I don't feel like it just because I have an obligation to a friend who wants to go out.

Umm, i usually just hangout with my bf so when he's at work i kinda feel like i don't have a social life. I think i've blown off all of my friends that neither they nor i want to hangout with them. Its kinda lame i guess.

lol naw, sure I'm a bit anti-social but being a teeny-bopper i realize a whole lotta my generation is quite stupid so most of the time i dont talk to my peers
