  1.     The total number of soldiers that have been stop lossed in all branches of the military is about 120,000. The Army Times just had an article that says that a house panel is voting on a bill that will give any soldier that is stop lossed $500 per month that they are stop lossed. The payments are retroactive, so any one who was stop lossed and has already gotten out of the military could get payed for the time they were stop lossed.

I am including a link to the article in the Army Times that I was reading. You may find it interesting.

  2. Lots..Officer and enlisted alike.. and not just the Army.  I have a friend( Naval Officer) who was Stop Lossed.

  3. Quite a few.  I myself was literally 4 days from being stop-lossed before my ETS.  It's not cool by any means, but I do understand why it's done.  I just wish the Army could figure out a way to make the rotations shorter than 15 months.  That's just entirely too long for any family to endure.

  4. lets see....  ATLEAST over 80,000-150,000
