  1. There were 711 survivors.  The numbers who survived were as follows:

    1st class women 140 (4 lost)

    1st class men 57 (118 lost)

1st class children 6 (none lost)

    2nd class women 80 (13 lost)

    2nd class men 14 (154 lost)

2nd class children 24 (none lost)

    3rd class women 76 (89 lost)

    3rd class men 75 (387 lost)

    3rd class children 27 (52 lost)

    Male crew 192 (693 lost)

    Female crew 20 (3 lost)

  2. Maybe 50 people at the most

  3. 712 (approximate, going from passenger lists and things I think), but you wasted your points on this question because it's so easy to Google :p

( and there were 2229 on board, including crew )

  4. Not enough....I don't understand why there is SO much talk about "Titanic".  Yes, she was the largest ship in her day, and yes, she was the most luxurious and yes, she was man's greatest triumph at the time (also one of man's greatest civilian naval tragedy).  Other ships have sank and they are rarely talked about.  The Lusitania helped to bring the U.S. into the First World War.  The Titanic doesn't need to be raised from its eternal resting place.  Maybe technology will come about so that we can resurrect ALL the ships that have sunk in the 20th century.  What a triumph that would be.
