I liked the FAQ: 'Any evidence in contrast to what we have already decided is correct is obviously part of a conspiracy- so it doesn't matter what you say, we won't believe you.'

That's some conviction!  My only sorrow is that they had to latch onto that one.

It rather sounds like my conviction that squirrels are in fact modified berries (a hesperidium, to be exact), to which I only cling to make my zoologist friends upset.

And it's quite simple to determine that it isn't flat- you can do it with a compass.  Or a couple sticks.  And a tape measure.

Or just talk to an engineer about how they have to build the foundation to fit the earth.  And that plane surveying only works so far.

But I don't feel that I can even agree with their RE (Round Earth) alternative.  I currently believe that the earth is an Oblate Sphereoid.  For my current work, I am using the WGS 1983 datum, and if it's good enough for everyone who takes this sort of thing seriously, then it's good enough for me.

Well, do we realy know its round? We are told it is! I guess people can debate and dsicuss anything on the web..thats their right.
