How many people were killed in the Cambrian Explosion?

  1. Zero. There were no people back then. It was not a catastrophe. It was an explosion of new species.


  2. None, but we lost some d**n good kittens that day.

  3. It must have been all of them, as there were no people on Earth after it happened.

  5. No one was killed, but a lot of cave men got shrapnel wounds. They later introduced legislation against cluster bombs, land mines, and abrupt trans-species genetic mutations.

  6. Millions, man.  Freakin MILLIONS.

  7. Gazillions of the 35 different basic animal body plans, corresponding to different phyla were just being born half a billion years ago, so there must have been tons and tons of people killed then. :).
