How many peoplewill thank a VETERN this weekend?

THEY ARE THE REASON, WE LIVE IN THE BEST NATION ON THE PLANET!!! I will thank all I see, both PRESENT AND PAST!!!

I will honor our vets this Monday by dropping off care packages for our troops at the police station and wearing our American flag pin  and blasting God Bless America through my town  and donate to Homeless Veterans organizations! God Bless!

You and me both, I shake their hand and some time give big hugs too. I always say Thank You to them all.  There is no special day or time and place, I see a veteran or active military person,  I take time to stop and say thanks, everyday.

I do this constantly. I don't feel the need for a proclaimed or designated date to do so. I figure these people (men and women) are the main reason we are even able to voice our opinions in open forums such as this one. God bless them all!

TO TODD: Absolutely! We owe a great debt to everyone that serves the public in a protective capacity. It is sad that they are all too often taken for granted.

I spent a couple hours earlier looking for vets here and sent thank you emails to them and people who said they have family members who have served in the US military. Now I thank you for helping defend my freedom. May God bless you, your family members, and may God continue to bless America.

Please accept my sincere gratitude for everyone who has served, is serving, and in the future will serve to protect the freedom we have here in The United States of America and the people who enjoy our freedoms.

Every time I see a Veteran wearing a hat that identifies him or her as someone who served in the US military I try to thank them for defending my freedom, not just today, but every day of the year.

BUT I think that you should thank them everyday. Not just a day that calendar says so.
