  1. I would say 25% to 51%.

  2. This is a hard question.  I heard it say that Pat Day made a horse 5 lengths better in a mile race.  I don't believe that but I do know that a bad jockey will cost the race.

I have been around horse racing for more than 30 years and in my opinion the jockey is about 3-5% of the performance of the horse.  That is the reason that apprentice jockeys are allowed 5-10 lbs.

  3. a lot of it

  4. From The experience I know it 's about :: 75 percent on the Jockey

  5. A bad jockey can make a huge difference (to the bad side).  A great jockey can make a bit of a difference (to the good). Hard question to answer because of all the variables. The horse should get most of the credit. Any good jockey will tell you it's mostly the horse.

  6. 80%

A good jockey can balance better so he do not add more burden to the animal. The good one will be more daring to push the horse to win the race.

That also why there are racing instruction from the trainer to the jockey during the race. A good experience one can carry out the instruction better
