Ok no one claims me dependent (A) and I am single and have one job (B,1)

So do I have two allowances?

  1. Go to PayCheckCity, enter your data and it will compute your withholding allowances for you:

  2. Generally, the allowance would be equal to each person so 1 would be your allowance.

    Since you're single and claining self, you get 1 allowance.

    You can even choose 0 allowance or more, if you'd like.

    Remember that the more allowances you choose, the less withholdings are withheld, the more take-home pay you get and vice versa.


  3. That looks right.  You can claim lower, so if you need more taxes withheld you can claim lower.
