  1. This varies, but the general "rule" is 10 pesos = 1 dollar.

Most of Mexico has a very poor cost of living, so everything in some parts of the country (small towns/villages) is very cheap!! If you go to places like Monterrey, Mexico City, or other "touristy" places, the cost of living and the prices of items is significantly higher. CDs, movies, clothes, etc are about the same price as they are here, but you can find "black markets" which sell these things very cheap...though most of them are illegal

  2. first of all mexico is not cheap and 10 pesos is a dollar and by the way a gatorade is 10 pesos which would be a dollar

  3. It depends what you want to buy and how much you wants to expend.

  4. Depends on where you go... there are world class resorts in the thousands per day and there are decent econo hotels in every city. The dollar is falling against most major currencies right now, today is worth 9.98 pesos per dollar. Prices however and not dissimilar, just move the decimal place. What is less expensive is food services and things involving labor (ie car repair) the food itself is somewhat cheaper in some locations. But a roll of Charmin, is still a roll of Charmin, plus trucking. Chinese goods are expensive as there is a high tarriff. There is a 15% IVA tax on the mainland and 10% in Baja.

  5. You get approximately 10 Mexican pesos for one dollar. The other way around, just drop the last digit. Example, something in Mexico is 900 pesos, it is 90 US dollars.

Hawaii is the 50th state of the US and uses dollars believe it or not.

Costa Rico, not sure, but if you get a book on that country, you can find out about Costa Rican currency and more.

The big question is not the exchange rate, but what things cost in the country that you will be visiting.

  6. Hawaii's money is the same as US Currency since it is a US state. Hawaii is extremely expensive since many things must be imported.

As for peso's, you receive about 10 per US dollar. Honestly, I honeymooned in Rivera Maya and I did not find things to be cheaper. Since the dollar is so low, I would be careful of visiting a 'cheap' country.

  7. Mexico you get about 10 peso's to the dollar, most stuff is a little cheaper
