I have a phone junction box. It has the incoming wire and 4 more set of wires going to it. My house has 4 telephone jacks that works. In the other 2 rooms, the jacks are there with the wires, but it's dead. I went to the junction box, I have seen the wires to the 2 rooms not hooked up. Can I hook up wires to the phone junction box? Also what is the max phone jacks, you can have before the phone signal becomes degraded?

  3. Hi,

The REN (ring equivalent number) is 4 on a BT line, if you look on your phones it will give you the REN for that device. It's normally "1" so you can have up to 4 handsets on one line plugged in.

You can buy a REN extender and this takes it to 10.

You can of course use cordless phones and these just plug into power not the line.

    Hope this helps?

  4. you can have as manny as you want you just have to call a technician and he/she will fix it for you
