How many photos can you get on a 1gb sd card taken with 12mp digital camera?

thinking of getting a 12mp digital camera for my holiday but wanna know how many photos you can get on a 1gb sd card? and how much video can i get?

hmm well i have a 7.2mp kodak and i can get about 400 pics on mine. since the more mp you have the less memory you get i would buy at least a 2gb.

My 12MP Nikon can fill a 1GB card with about 90 high resolution JPEGs and 33 RAW + JPEG images.

That is one reason, most my cards are either 4 GB or 8 GB cards, although I do have a few 2 GB cards for small shoots.

well mines is a 6mp and with a igb card i get about 300 pictures
