How many pictures can 2G card hold on a 8mp camera? What about 1G card? :]?

i want to get a camera for Christmas with good features, and i think an xias 8 mp with 1gb card, (possibly 2gb), is a good choice. it has rechargeable battery too, which is so important because if it didn''t charge the batteries would just eat up really fast.

what do you think?

Before you get too carried away ... look here for a camera made by a known camera company

To spend $150 on a camera made by an unknown camera seller may not be a good idea ... for the same price, you can buy a good Nikon or Canon and have a huge company backing up the warranty.

A 1gb should hold about 750 pics and a 2gb double but you have to make sure your camera is able to take a 2gb or else it won't work.

get your self a nice nikon or possibly canon depending on what features you want and yes 1gb will do fine unless your a pro photog then i can understand what you mean if it was me i would get a nikon compact camera with a 1gb card and then before getting right into it learn how to use it.
