How many pictures can a 2GB card hold?

im thinking about getting a new camera that is 8.1mp and i want to know how many pictures i would be able to hold with that on a 2GB card. i dont want to waste my money.

2 giabytes is a pretty good sized memory card. The amout of pictures that you can put on depends on the size of the pictures that the camera is set to. I have a 4 gig memory card, and I can store tons of pictures and video clips. Video clips will also take more storage room. 8.1 megapixels is a HUGE picture, so I would suggest putting the setting down to 5 megapixels or so to allow for more storage space.
