How many pictures do you take of your kids, and how often?

My daughter is 24 months and I have 3,200 pictures of her which averages to 5 pictures a day... I know I need to cut back, am I the only one?

  1. Welcome to the digital age where its far easier to take pictures than it was when we were growing up.  Take as many as you can because they do grow up fast. And if you have a memory like me, it helps to remember the things they did.

  2. When they are young, generally 6 or 7 a day, you will never get those moments back. As they get older, you learn to restrain yourself, a bit.

    Help with mine?

  3. No, I have 2 kids and take pictures DAILY, at least 10!  I have them on Cd's sorted by years ...one day I will have the nerve to print them all out!

  4. I'm just as bad. Alyssa is 8 months and we have nearly 5 gig of digital photos of her.

  5. It is perfectly normal to want to capture every moment with your child. This is a great way for her to see how she grows. Especially if you are taking digital pictures. Burn them to a disc and she can have them later! I have three kids and I have stopped counting how many I take of them. I just download them to my computer and burn them to a cd. I put each child on a different cd so they can have them later. I print some of them off and put them in my scrapbook but not all of them. Keep on taking those pics!

  6. OMG! I am the same way, I have a 3y/o and a 2y/o, we have like a billion pictures of them both!!! I just don't want to miss anything, we also have a lot of video footage of them!! I think it's just a mommy thing, My sis and a couple friends are the same way!

  7. try to take as many as you can, they don't stay cute forever

  8. I wouldnt even dare try to count them.

    Thank goodness for digital cameras!

  9. lol I have thousands. That is the joy of digital cameras and having a computer. You do not need to develop them all, so take as many as you want. I just wish they were around and affordable from when they were born 9 years ago. I would love more of them back then

  10. My son is 23 months and the folder I have of JUST him has over 6,000 pictures. (I just checked the folder properties.) That doesn't count holiday pics, professional pics, etc. You're not alone. The digital camera is kind of bad for that..people use to have to print their pics to see them, but now we can save them on our hard-drives and they pile up! It's going to cost me a fortune to print all of my pics. :/

  11. i have about the same amount of pictures for my kids but my problem is they are all on a disc and not printed out which is going to make it VERY expensive when i finally print them. She has pictures printed up until she is 4 mos. old and then the rest are on computer discs. I never had time to actually print them at a store... She has plenty of professional pictures tho. She is 3 now and I dont take as many pictures now as i used to because i have another baby and i am trying to capture all of her cute moments as well! I would say keep snapping the pictures girl...your daughter will enjoy them when she gets older!

  12. Oh my goodness! I take many, many pictures of my daughter. She's just too cute! She's doesn't like the camera though, so I have to do it when she isn't watching or asleep. Hopefully when she gets a little older she'll be more camera friendly.

  13. Well I have 2 nephews and 1 niece each time I am with them I take about 400 pics.( I am with them at least once a week) I am a big photo nut and like to capture every moment.I'm not big on posed pics i like in the moment ones.  I Don't print every pic I take but I have gotten some amazing pictures of them!  My whole house is in black and white pics and I always get comments on how natural they look and they cant believe they weren't done by a professional.

  14. Wow that's a lot, but hey if you got a digital camera why not capture every moment you can of her now while she's young. :) It wont be long before she wont want her picture taken all the time.
