How many pictures will an 4GB SanDisk memory card hold on my 10.1mp camera?

I would like to buy 10.1 exlim casio camara. I would like to know how many pics can 4gb hold? How about 8gb?

That is a very close estimate of how many pics can be held on a memory card. But, I have to disagree with the price being $60. Right now, through September 28, 2008 Sandisk is offering rebates on their Extreme memory cards. The Extreme lll SDHC card with a 4GB capacity is one of those cards eligible for a rebate. The more cards you buy, the more you get back for each card - up to a maximum of three cards. For this particular card, the rebate is $20 for a single card. To illustrate my point, look at Adorama's web site. They are offering the 4GB card w/reader for $44.95. Subtract the $20 rebate and your net cost is only $25.95. Beach Camera has them for $41.99-$20 rebate=$21.99 with MicroMate reader reader and free ground shipping. Buy two cards and get a $45 rebate. Buy three and get $75 back. My 1GB card holds 516 pictures of superfine quality (3074*2506)cm.

with each picture taking up 2.5 to 3.5 mb. (In 7.1 MP)Of lesser size (1024*2056) cm, it can hold 800 or more, each pic in the range of 500KB to 1.99MB. A 4GB card may hold 2000 pics depending on the size .If the size is 640*320cm, then it may hold more than 30000 Pictures. But are you sure you need that much space? Are you sure you want to spend 60$ buying one? I advice you to buy a 2GB or 1GB card. You can always delete pics which you dont need. I suppose each pic in 10.1 MP will take around 3.2 to 5MB
