How many pictures would a digital camera hold with 64 MB of internal memory with 12.1 MP?

I understand I can lower the MP. What MP will give X amount of pics?

  1. thanks for the answers.  I understand I might have as well bought a lower MP camera..but I found a good deal for the camera for only $85 including shipping and handling from Woot.com.  I bought a 4GB hdsd memory card, but it wont come for a while.  My camera will arrive earlier than the memory card, and since I need the camera, I just wanted to know how many photos I could take when using the internal memory.


  2. cause the photo is saved in JPEG (compressed) format, so the photo size is various.  a normal high quality photos is about 5MB in size.  so a 64MB can hold approx. 12 pictures.

    but of course, get an external memory card is very helpful.

  3. If you lower the resolution, you may as well have bought a camera with a 7MP sensor ...

    Internal memory is nearly worthless except as a demonstration platform when selling cameras at the electronics store.

    Just by a couple of 2GB memory cards (two packs were under $20 this past weekend) and be done with it.
