How many pigs' houses does the Big Bad Wolf try to huff, puff and blow down?

4 in the beginning of the story they all lived together until the wolf destroyed their house. then they built 3 different houses.

I would say he only tried to blow down one house.

He blew two houses down, but I don't believe that would be trying. He succeeded at blowing 2 houses down and tried to blow down only 1.
