How many pills (specifically acetaminophen or NSAIDs) does the average American take over their lifetime? Or in a year? I'm looking for stats and can't find anything! Please help! If you have a website to site too, that'd be great. So far I only found a site that said 30,000 pills over a lifetime but that seems really high and I can't confirm it! We don't need exact numbers, just an estimate! Thanks!!

It's a multi-billion dollar business and all these companies collectively manufacture over billions of such pills each year.

And Yes, Almost 1/4th of USA's population consumes these drugs.

I just googled a few things and i found that Americans take 80 million asprin( an NSAID) a day. ( wow thats a lot lol) I can't find anything on individuals in a lifetime sorry.

I take on average about 10 a week. Not sure what that adds up to. Some days if I have a big headache, I can take up to 6. Or if I have to play tennis and need to shrink any muscle inflamation, then that's at least another 2 ... so, I probably take more than 30k a lifetime. THANK God for Tylenol and Advil and MOTRIN and all those guys.
