  1. every country, it is called a work force now

  2. Sudan and Benin are big practitioners of slavery.

  3. I read a United Nations report that said that on any given day there are about 25 million people, in various parts of the world, many of them children, in slavery.

You'd think that rather than start a useless war in some third world country we might spend a little effort tracking down individuals and countries who force people into slavery and bust their butts!

  4. The place where I work still does.

  5. india

    china

    ...child labour- are they slave?

  6. There is a new movie out called "Holly" about sexual slavery of children which is a world wide problem

  7. minimum wage... Everywhere... the chains & shackles are invisible.

  8. i think just about everywhere...once in a while, you'll turn on the news, and it's happening in America.

  9. This will depend on how you define slavery. I think some forms of slavery are present throughout the world today. Things are just shifted so that these are not as blatant. In the past slaves worked long hours and they were provided a place to eat and sleep. They were prisoners and could not escape. Some poor people still work long hours (two or three part-time, no benefits, no healthcare, low wage jobs) and they have to pay for their food and shelter and large debts at high interests without any chance to escape their current situation. This may be another form of slavery. See the video WalMart the High Cost of Low Price.

  10. I don't think anyone practices it anymore. some have it perfected though.

  11. A lot of places, including America. Its just not the kind of slavery you're probably thinking of, but its slavery nonetheless. It's called minimum wage. It really is sickening. Imagine working your *** off day and and day out, only to make ends meet. If you're not able to climb out of that rut and progress, and save up for a new car, or new clothes, or to treat yourself once in a while, or whatever ,then can you see how it is slavery? Just go through life working your *** off for peanuts and not getting anywhere at all.

  12. Do you work for someone else?

If you had money, would you want to work?

If question 1 is yes, and 2 is no, to me, it's legal slavery.

    Just my opinion.
