  2. Twelve. Platforms 1 - 4, 4A, 4B, then platforms 5 - 10.

    Platforms 1,2,3, 4A, 4B, 6,7 and 10 are bay (dead end) platforms,

    whilst 4,5,8 and 9 are through platforms and are bi-directionally signalled, i.e. trains can call at these platforms from either direction.


  3. If it's still the same as a couple of years ago, there's 9 platforms.

    1 to 8 including 4A.

  4. Give Andy M the points. He is the closest. Mind at the moment Reading station is getting redeveloped & being redesigned for Crossrail so actual working platforms are going to change. (I gather there are 12 working platforms)
