  2. There are eight planets in the Solar System. You can put them in a number of different orders. For example, here they are in alphabetical order:

    Earth

    Jupiter

    Mars

    Mercury

    Neptune

    Saturn

    Uranus

    Venus

Here they are in order of distance from the Sun, from closest to farthest:

    Mercury

    Venus

    Earth

    Mars

    Jupiter

    Saturn

    Uranus

    Neptune

Here they are in order of size, from smallest to biggest:

    Mercury

    Mars

    Venus

    Earth

    Neptune

    Uranus

    Saturn

    Jupiter

There are other ways to order them as well. Feel free to come up with your own if you want to. Keep in mind that there are only 40320 possible orders for them to go in! :P

  3. Mercury,Venus,Saturn,Neptune,Earth,Mars,... guess),Jupiter,Uranus and some planets u probably never even heard of such as Ceres,Ixion,Orcus,Huya,Varuna,Quaoar and Sedna

  4. Well, if this is for school they will tell you that Pluto is not a planet...so don't put it as one but there are still 9 planets no matter what some crackpot scientist who wants attention tells you. Carl Sagan said it was 9 planets and i am sticking with that number.. even though he has been dead for about 12 years

Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto

Here is a way to remember it... My very earthly mother just served us nine pizzas

  5. There are eight planets... used to be nine, but Pluto got demoted.

In order from closest to farthest from the sun:

    1. Mercury

    2. Venus

    3. Earth

    4. Mars

    5. Jupiter

    6. Saturn

    7. Uranus

    8. Neptune

  6. Mercury, Donor, Blitzen, Dopey, Doc, Jan, Marsha and Australia

  7. twelve

    mercury

    venus

    earth

    mars

    ceres

    jupiter

    saturn

    uranus

    neptune

    pluto

    make-make

    eris

more to come soon (vesta?, ixion? quaoar?, sedna? etc...)

  8. I am positive, because this is grade 2 stuff and I learned it back then.

    There are 8:

    Mercury

    Venus

    Earth

    Mars

    Jupiter

    Saturn

    Uranus

    Neptune

Then there are 4 dwarf planets:

Ceres (in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter)

Pluto and Makemake (both in the Kuiper Belt beyond Neptune)

Eris (in the scattered disk beyond the Kuiper Belt)
