How many players can you have in volleyball?

Traditionally Indoors is played with 6 players on the court on each side. Here in South Carolina we play lots of outdoor volleyball and that consists of: Coed 4's and Triples in the Grass and Doubles in the Sand. I think William Morgan started it out in Holyhoke Massachusetts with 9 players on a side and an unlimited number of hits before it had to go back over!

Each team has to have at least six  players. So it total to 12 players playing at a time. On the other hand, you can have as many players  as you want in volleyball. The Players vary depending on if you're playing for fun or if it's a different type of volleyball. It dosn't matter on the number of players to make vollyball fun.

6 on the court playing, 6 subsitutes at the warm-up area. Most team usually have only 5 sub, as one of the space is for the libero.

Well on team volleyball at school it is 6 buddy.

it depend on what type you are playing  you can have 3 for three on three tonys or you can have 2 mainly for beach volley ball and then six for more traditional games and then sometimes when you are in gym class you can have like nine on at a time ( trust me that gets hard) really it depends on what type of game you are playing
