you need 12 players in volleyball as 6 of them are active and other six are substitute as in  volleyball there is rolling substitute and you can change your player at any time and one of the players is called Libera and he can only defend and can not cross the ball which is over the height of the net and one more thing he has to wear diffrent colour for game and can play in back court only and cannot touch the first served ball. other five players will have to move with every service change in a clock wise rotation.

u need atleast 6 players on your team, the rest sit out and they are called subs, u can sub twice per game (usually unless the rules where u play say otherwise) and also, volleyball is spelt v-o-l-l-e-y-b-a-l-l no space its not "volly ball" just thought i'd let u know.

it varies... for a team there is 6 on the court the rest sit out but you switch but also  if you are playing at the beach there can be 2 3.4 .5,6. so it just depends

  The total no. of players in bollyball are six in the court.one player has to made the servicer ,one is in the centre to check the service of the opponent service and two player on each corner of the net ,these two are equally responsible to return the boll to the other side with force as much as they can.Rest persons  players are to support in the game.

   It is just a fabulous game.If u play it then u know it otherwise i will suggest u to play this game if u can.This is a game which required the energy and passion. Thus the players of this game u seen always look feet and healthy.
