Before toronto, nadal and federer has 5830 and 6600 ranking points respectively. The computation goes like this:

Nadal: 5830 plus 500 points by winning toronto and plus 225 by reaching the semis of cincinnati. Dropping the previous points he gained in montreal last year 225 points and 5 points from last year's cincinnati. Therefore nadal's ranking by august 18 will be 6325.

Federer: 6600 plus 5 and 35 points reaching the losing at the 2nd round and 3rd round of toronto and cincinnati. Also dropping his previous points of 350 and 500 points from montreal and cincinnati his ranking points comes august 18 will be 5790.

Nadal: 6325

Federer : 5790

Nadal will lead federer by 535 points.

Eventhough wins at the olympics and nadal loses at the first round, nadal is assuredf being the top seed at the US Open.

i'm not quite sure but its been  4 and a half years since roger is no 1 but he will drop it to nadal which personaly i think deserves it because he  destroyed federer in the french and won a classic match at wimbledon. 2005-7 federer was unbeatable. but now nadal can beat federer.

Well you can't really say right now because you have to take into account the US Open and the Olympics, but just talking about these past two Masters Series events Nadal will have a net gain of 495 points while Federer will have a net loss of 690 points. Adding to their current point totals Federer will be at 5915 points while Nadal will be at 6800 points. That's a lead of 885 points. Federer also has a US Open to defend so it only can get worse for him unless he does exceptionally well at the Olympics and the US Open.
