  1. if u win the title, u need to defend 500 points. since he lost, he lost about 400 points. and federer lost in rome in the second or third round last year. so the more federer wins in this tournament, the more points he gains. sorry to hear he lost, but u have to admit that he can't win always. i was in shock, but i'll take it. he's a good player, but not the greatest. he can still improve though like his serve. I didn't know he had a foot injury. But still, even though he didn't have the foot injury, i thought nadal will lose because juan carlos kept his cool and did not let nadal break until the physical therapist came in to nadal at 5-6 in the first. so yes, nada deserved to lose, but in the second set it was a mishap. i am sure that if nadal would have not have an injury, ferrero would have won anyway 7-6 7-6.

  2. he's gonna lose 500 points, cause he won last year, but like he got to second round he'll add 35 points, so in total he loses 465 points.-

  3. Yeah Hamburg is his for sure. And after that he'll have a extra week off before the French. So he'll be just fine. I wouldn't worry. He's not losing his ranking anytime soon.

    500-35(Rd2)= 465

    His new ranking, 5930-465= 5465

Killy Gonso is an idiot and probably couldn't play tennis to save his life.

  4. Rafa will lose 495 points for his 2nd round loss in Rome.  He'll lose 500 for not defending, and gain 5 for having a bye into the 2nd round.

  5. Assuming you are talking about ATP points, you never lose any. You only gain them for a number of reasons: merely playing in a sanctioned tournament; winning a number of points, games, etc, depending on your opponent, the importance of the event, etc, etc, etc.

  6. Hamburg and French open to federer. If nadal continues to play too much physical, every other players play physical to win against him meaning nafael nadal's body will be destroyed. his body can't stand it that much physical game. that's why you need true skill and talent like federer not just returning every single shots without thinking.  Forza Federer!!!
