How many pounds can i lose on atkins in a month..i am 250 lbs and 5"4...?

I prefer the southbeach or the meditation diet.  These have been tested and seem to work the best.  However all you really need to do is cut back on your portions.  And stay away from any white carbs such as white bread, white sugar etc.  Eat more whole grains vegis.  At least once a week you need to treat yourself.  Trust me if you limit yourself to just shakes and bars your not going to last.  And if you do once you back to eating normal food your just going to put the weight back on.  You need to learn how to eat properly for it to last.  goodluck

First of all with all the dangers of the Atkins diet do not attempt it at your age. You do not want life long health issues. Talk to a doctor and get into a healthy program. Your body needs a lot more carbs to grow then the atkins will allow you, which means your body will eat away at your muscles to gain the nutrients it needs. Do not at your age use anything over the counter either without consulting a doctor, Try becoming more active then too tightly restricting your diet or taking pills that could cause you life long problems. Think healthy not quick fix, there is no such thing. See if your local weight watchers has a teen program, if so this will be healthier than almost any other program out there, and teach you how to eat right.

Atkins is soooo unhealthy and a fad diet. Start a new "lifestyle" as we call it and going Weight Watchers, it's healthy and it works well. No more diets, they suck *** lol.
