I'm not sure if we're using more or less carbon dioxide than normal. Please respond if you know!

  1. You don't use carbon dioxide.  You create it.  What gas are you burning when you heat your house?(NG or propane)  What model is your furnace?  Is your hot water heater gas fired or electric?  What model?  What about your stove, fridge, dryer, washing machine and freezer? (Gas or electric)  Do you have a fire place?  Is it gas or solid fuel burning?

Do you have the owner's manuals (It should be listed).  Also, you can check the name plates for the ratings (if it's legible).  If you can't get the service door off the furnace without using a s***w driver, don't attempt it.

Even with all these figures, it's gonna give you optimum performance.  Your appliances may have a malfunction or might not be properly vented.  So you'll need a flue gas analyzer.  Mine was $1400.

    *Short answer*

There is no real normal amount.  Every house is designed differently.

  2. do you know what carbon dioxide is?
