  1. Your metabolism will slow down if you reduce the amount you eat by that much.  Honestly aim for 1400 to maintain your metabolism, it will take a little longer but it will also stay off.

  2. it depends on how much you worked out, but you need to eat more than that to have energy.

  3. its not worth doing so do it if you like but i would like to say that eating isn't the problem but the problem is what you eat . You should cut down on candies and crisps and start eating healthier and as for just eating 400 Cal's a weak well by doing that you'll only become anorexic

the choice is yours but before you actually make up your mind you should think of the risks your taking

  4. These people don't know what they are talking about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, here are the approximate number of calories burned per day for whatever your body is right now.  Not including exercise.

    10% underweight: 1,800 calories

    recommended weight: 2,000 calories

    10% overweight 2,200 calories

    25% overweight: 2,500 calories

    50% overweight: 3,000 calories

    2x recommended weight:  3,800 calories

    3x recommended weight:  4,700 calories

    4x recommended weight:  5,300 calories

In an exercise, you can burn off an extra 300-800 calories depending upon the difficulty of a workout.  If you workout multiple times a day, you may burn off an extra 2,000 calories.

Okay, use this equation to determine how many calories you lost.

Total Calories Burned - Calories Consumed= Total Calories Lost

So, if you burn 3,000 calories in one day, including exercise, and you eat 2,000 calories, then that day you lost 1,000 calories.  Every 3,500 calories lost equals one pound lost.

If you eat 400 calories every day for a week, then you will most likely lose about three pounds per week.

Basically, the choice is yours.  Always count the calories on the food you eat.  Use the equation, and over a while you will see significant weight loss.  I know you have seen conflicting answers to your question.  Know that all answers have a few minor flaws.  My answer is an absolutely true stating of fact.  Determination will determine how much weight you lose.  Congratulations on the attempt.  I hope you succeed.

  5. Idk but the max for a day is 2000 making 14000 a week, so basically ur going to be starving urself and may loose bout 7 pounds..somethin i should do

  6. 400 calories?

Um, to lose one pound you have to burn off 1,000 calories.

When you do this, make sure you lift weights too, so you dont lose your muscles. And workout too, like crunches.

But, you will lose about 4 pounds each week.

If you do all that ^. You will lose about 10.

But DRINK LOTS OF WATER. it has no calories in it.

  7. thats gonna be hard.. lol.. i mean, u eat a chocolate bar your pretty much done for the day.. but.. hm.. yah, just make sure the 400 calos are coming from GOOD foods, so you dont need to look out for carbs and trans and saturated fats.. haha, im like u, on a really messed up diet that people probs wouldnt approve of.. hah, i dont care tho. its not bulimia or anorexia or anything like that... but hey! its workin! =D if yours doesnt work out, try mine!

  8. There are 3500 calories in a pound.

Average rmr (calories burned/ day if you wereto just lay around all day) for a female is 1500. (If you google rmr calculator, you can figure out what your exact rmr is.)

This means, if you ate NOTHING for one week, and did no physical activity, you would lose 3 pounds. If you ate 400 calories a day, you'd lose about 2.2 pounds.

The scale might say you lost more than that, but it would be all water weight, which will come back as soon as you eat a normal meal. Also, it will really mess up your metabolism.

You would be much better off burning 800 calories a day with exercise, and eating 1200 calories a day. If you did this, you would lose a little more than 2 lbs, and it would be healthy, sustainable, and not mess up your metabolism.

  9. Even you say, I'll do it! I say don't do it. It's NOT the way to go. Unhealthy, and it's not for the long run. You'll need to practice yoga and breathing exercises to get in shape, and lose the body fat. Yoga is simple, yet effective. You can practice it at home in your own privacy also.

Any way, the choice is yours. By the way, I have a great free yoga e-course for you: http://www.yoga-health-beauty-energy.com...

    Best

  10. your better off on the 2-4-6-8 diet

    ect

    it tricks you metabolisam

you loose 11 pounds every 2 cycles

  12. put your body in shock and will hold onto everything and start eating itself

  13. You will lose close to 2 or 3 pounds!!! But like you said you will gain it back, and you will fill very tired and hungry all the time and it’s not good for your heath, but it’s your decision if you want to starve your self go ahead!!!

  14. it depends on your caloric intake. If you take me for example, i need 2500-3300 calories a day (6 ft. male.. i need more on days that i work). Find a calorie calculator online and calculate your daily requirements, then subtract 400 from that number. That is how many calories you will be losing per day.. keep in mind that 3500 is roughly one pound.

edit- i think 400 calories a day would actually harm your health, and like someone said above it could put your body into a state of shock. try to consume 75% of your normal diet
