I have just been looking on the following web site to see if my PC can run certain games. http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest

In the info I am given after it tests my PC, it says I have the following;

You Have: 2 processors running - Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz

You Have: 2.99 GHz Performance Rated at 4.49 GHz

How do I tell if I have 2 processors running, and can I make full use of them if I have two?

  1. It's a single CPU (Pentium 4) running at 3.0GHz - The P4 has HyperThreading technology which the Operating system will report as being 2 CPUs.

  2. lol i doubt you have 2 processors unless you have a intel core 2 duo

  3. You probably have a dual core processor which is effectively 2 processors on one chip.

    Windows will automatically make as much use of the 2 processors as it can.

    To see for yourself hold down ctrl and alt then press del to bring up task manager, click on performance and there will be 2 graphs side by side labeled "CPU usage history", you should see that both graphs move about as you run different programs.
