How many pubs (approximately) are there in Dublin?

Will be impressed if anyone can answer this question!  There are so many it would be a waste of good drinking time to try counting them!

wow way too many to count and any one that did google it would probably be wrong with the answer because not everyone puts their pub up on a website

bet there's some amount. nearest town to me has a population of around 27,000 and there is 54 pubs in the town. so taking Dublin's population of 1.5 million for the county of Dublin, i'd say there's a fair amount of them. here's a list with at least 900 pubs names on it

as for dublin (centre) itself, I don't know how many there is.

There are just over 1,000 Pubs in Dublin City.
