How many pumpkins will grow from one vine?

I planted pumpkins in my garden this year. The vines have gotten very large and are producing many flowers. How many pumpkings grow on va single vine usually?

Too many, you want to remove all but one or two.  Too many and the nutrients must be divided among the fruits.
