  1. Uh, 4.

    When you're looking at the time signature, the top number is the number of beats in each measure. The bottom number is what note gets the beat. Therefore, if we're looking at 4/4 time, as it's written on the page, there would be 4 beats in each measure, and the quarter note would get the beat(one tap of the foot/click of the metronome per note). For something like 6/8 time, there would be six beats in the measure, and the eighth note would get the beat.

  2. 4 would fit in each measure since 4 quarter notes fit in a whole note. and a wholenote=4 beats and since it is 4 over 4 it means u could fit 4 in a measure
