  1. 6 days or more have 2 formal nights. Anything under 6 days will have 1 formal night only. If u dont want to dress formal all there is also alternate dining with very good food.

  2. I am going on a 2 week cruise in about a week, and mine has 3 formal nights, 3 semi-formal nights, and 5 casual nights.  You don't always have to dress up for dinner unless it is required that you do.  I am going on Celebrity so my friend told me that nice shoes and nice shorts are ok sometimes.  Just not jean shorts.

  3. 7 day cruises have 2 formal nights. It varies according to the length of the cruise.

  4. 2 formal nights on a 7-day cruise.  1 formal night on a 5 day cruise.  Formal nights range from cocktail dresses to long gowns for the ladies and a coat and tie for the gentlemen.

No shorts/tank tops/flip flops in the dining room during dinner time.  However, Dockers, slacks or even jeans are ok on the other nights.

If you live in your shorts and tanks, hit the buffet dining room.  You also have the option of the 24x7 pizza or the sandwich deli.  Don't worry, you won't be hungry.

However, I highly recommend enjoying the dinner experiences each night on Carnival.

  5. Carnival has two formal nights on a 6-7 day cruise and one on 3-5 day cruises. All the other dinners in the main dining room are more informal or "Business casual". (ie no jeans, tee shirts, tank tops, etc) Of course there are many other dining areas on the ship and you do not have to eat in the main dining room.

  6. You should always "dress up" for dinner in the dining room.  This means no jeans, shorts, sandals, t-shirts...etc.

The number of formal nights depends on the length of your cruise.  On 5-10 day cruises, there are usually two formal nights....this means: tie and jacket/suit/tux for the men and cocktail dresses or evening gowns for the women.  On weekend cruises, there is usually only one formal night.

If you don't want to doll yourself up for dinner, you can always hit the buffet on the lido deck.  However, I would, personally, never miss dinner!   :)
