  1. HOW CAN ANYBODY HERE ANSWER THAT?

  2. check with your local dept of human services aka child services there are alot of kids that need homes in michigan its norserve good luck

  3. In the US there are practically no children of Asian heritage available for adoption. Most Asian American families and communities are very family oriented and almost all children that need new families are fostered or adopted within their own ethnic community.

In Japan there are very few children that need new homes, because Japan is a very wealthy country. You cannot adopt from Japan unless you live there. There are some older children available for adoption from China, Korea and India, and possibly some other Asian countries also, such as Thailand or Vietnam. Unfortunately international adoption is something of an industry, and most international systems are set up more to make babies or toddlers available for families instead of find families for waiting children. I'm most familiar with China, so I will tell you how it plays out there. Orphanages in China are generally allotted a quota of children that they can submit paperwork for to make available for international adoption. I think there may be a larger quota for "healthy" young children and a somewhat smaller one for "special needs" children (older children are considered special needs). The orphanages make more money off the young children, so they are more likely to submit their paperwork for international adoption. Also it is sort of cruel to make older children think they will be adopted when the reality is that most will not be. And also it might be better for a child of a certain age to grow up in his or her own culture and language, even in an orphanage, than have to adapt to a whole new world. So while there are quite a few older children in orphanages in China, there aren't very many "available" for adoption overseas. And the Chinese government does not release figures on the number of children in orphanages because it looks kind of bad for them.

If you are really interested in adopting an older child, you need to talk to an adoption agency that specializes in international adoption, particularly of special needs children. But there are a lot of older kids, especially children of color (though not usually Asian) available for adoption from foster care in the US also.

  4. nobody can answer that

  5. there's not really a specific figure...if you are interested in adopting, you should start researching adoption agencies, look into your state social services dept, etc, to see which children are available and in need of homes. good luck!

  6. thers waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too many.

did u no that if the population of china walked by you in a single file line, the line would never end b cuz of the birth rate. Amazing, huh? does that give u any idea on how many r in china (because theyre only allowed 2 have 1 or 2 kids- i forget which- and the others are executed or put up for adoption) put up 4 adoption- let alone all of asia.
